Photography is considered as an autonomous art form, which does not imitate painting or sculpture but investigates reality and the themes of beauty , pain, life through an autonomous and equally authoritative language.

Who is an Artist Photographer and what does he do ?

The Photographer as Artist

An artist photographer is a professional who creates works of art through photography . Using a camera and other photographic equipment , the artist photographer captures images that express his creative and conceptual vision.

The main goal of the artist photographer is to create images that communicate emotions, convey a message or tell a story.

The artist photographer can specialize in different photographic genres , such as portraits , landscapes , fashion photography , conceptual photography or reportage . Through the use of photographic techniques , lighting, composition and post-production, the artist photographer gives shape to his artistic vision and creates images that can be exhibited in exhibitions, published in magazines or books, or sold as works of art.

The artist photographer can also work on commission for specific clients or collaborate with other artists on creative projects . Photography as an art form offers multiple possibilities for expression and the artist photographer is responsible for using the photographic medium to convey his unique and creative point of view.

The great photographer must be able to see reality with different, more attentive, more sensitive eyes, and be able to capture highly significant, evocative moments that excite or push one to reflect. He doesn't use brushes (today not all artists do), but he does the same work as a painter . And, not surprisingly, he loves to try his hand at all the traditional pictorial genres : the portrait , the landscape , the still life , the news , the nude .

Great photographers are celebrated around the world; exhibitions of their shots are held which attract a large audience, books and photographic catalogs have a vast market, some prints reach extraordinary prices.

Contemporary art has essentially traveled on two parallel lines. Great abstraction and great realism that photography manages to synthesize.

It is with pop art that the double contribution of photography in artistic research was expressed: on the one hand direct presence and explicit use of the medium and on the other an indirect presence, a sort of philosophy of the photographer.

Fine art photography is a combination of styles. It manifests itself in the search for the authenticity of the moment through the image . Artistic photographs are those in which the author's intention is reflected, his thoughts and will will become the protagonists of the work .

Fine art photography is a form of visual expression in which the photographer uses photography as a medium to create works of art.
